Our mission at Messrs Ongaro & Company Advocates is to contribute to the advancement of a just society through lawful, meticulous, conscientious, meritorious and professional legal services while affording due care and attention to our clients’ best interests.
Policy Statement
Messrs Ongaro & Company Advocates are guided by a determination to uphold the highest standards of professional ethics. Being a deliberate policy designed to assert the rule of law and conform to professional ethics and standards, Messrs Ongaro & Company Advocates are firmly commited to an anti-corruption stand. In discharging our professional duties, we shall not in any manner influence any party to subvert justice and or in any way undermine the provisions of the law, lawful orders or the due process of the law. Towards this end, we:
(i) are committed to acting professionally, fairly and with intergrity in our dealings with clients, Courts and tribunals established by the law, and the public at large.
(ii) shall not countenance bribery, graft or corruption in whatsoever form, shape or manner.
(iii) hold that corruption reflects the lack of professional integrity or honesty and amounts to the unjust, immoral and unlawful use of a position of trust for dishonest gain.
(iv) shall enforce our anti-corruption policy through all employees, associates, agents and consultants in all their official dealings with clients, public entities, private individuals, Tribunals and Courts of Law.
(v) state that our anti-corruption policy does not bar us from giving and receiving, in good faith, gifts and or promotional materials provided that the managing partner reserves complete and exclussive responsibility to determineto whom and from whom gifts and promotional materials shall be given to or received from.
(vi) do not receive or make facilitation payments or kickbacks for any cause whatsoever.
